with Love...WMSC11 66

Hi There! Thanks so much to all who played along with last week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! So many fabulous projects! Here today with an all new sketch:Rather than making a card, I made a lil' home decoration wall hanging for my dear sister, Tina who takes care of my fur babies while I am out of town using the new Spellbinders™ Grand Nestabilities® LF-114 Grand Circles and LF-124 Grand Scalloped Circles die templates.I had so much fun playing with this sketch! I took advantage of all that space & filled it up with some of my favorite things :) First, I stamped the sweet image that reads NO MATTER WHAT I HAVE TO DO MY FRIEND THERE'S ALWAYS time for you then worked my way around.I stamped the lil' with LOVE image from the Afternoon Tea Sentiments set then adhered a Melissa Frances decorative frame on top of it. Can you see the aged, crackled effect the crown & pocket watch? All you have to do is brush on some Tim Holtz Rock Candy, wait a few minutes & voila! The crackled effect appears like magic!
Tina crochets so many fleurettes for me to use on my projects :) I asked her for a large one & this is what she whipped up with her needle - what do youth think?

So Vintage - Shabby Chic 78

Hi There! Here today for the Friends of Waltzingmouse Stamps August Blog Waltz.This month Claire challenged us all to create a project based on a Vintage-Shabby Chic theme (as you probably have guessed this happens to be my fave :) For complete Waltz details please visit the The Play Room. Here is my Vintage-Shabby Chic card full of FRUIT:
Lovin' the new Spellbinders™ S4-297 Nested Crowns die templates, I made a crown frame to use as the focal point. Inside the crown frame, I stamped the arrow image from the Sweethearts set, adhered a decorative sanded foil heart made from a S4-296 Nested Hearts die template then popped a lil' Melissa Frances keyhole embellishment on top.

I love the shimmer & all the detail in that lil' heart - it seems to fit perfectly over that arrow!

To make this lil' tag, I stamped a few images from the Very Vintage Labels No. 4
set followed with stamping the "with love" sentiment from the Victorian Frippery set then, using a S4-190 Labels Four die template, I cut/embossed the tag.

In print & not in print... 47

Hi There! Thanks so much for all the Well Wishes for Jerry :) When I went to his apartment to visit & drop off his get well treats, we sat down together & I shared all of the sweet comments that were left on my post wishing him well. Thanks for not only making my day but his too! He is feeling better as each day passes :)
I have a few exciting crafty "things" to share today. First up, is one of two my projects that was chosen to be printed in the Spellbinders™ New Releases 2010 Summer catalog along with other fabulous projects provided by several members of the DT. Pinch me please!!! Thank you so much Spellbinders™ for the opportunity to create with your amazing products :) As you can probably tell, I am quite excited! Here is one of my projects featured in the catalog In print: You may remember this Wonky Gift Box from my reveal of the Wonky Squares die templates during the Spellbinders™ Blog Frenzy? This box was one of two projects showcasing the new Wonky Squares, if you would like to see the other, please feel free to click HERE.
Next up, is a peek at my second project in the Spellbinders™ New Releases 2010 Summer catalog.

Back in June, I was invited to be a Guest Card Maker at the on-line magazine Scrapbook News & Review. Yippee!!! Another great opportunity - thank you Scrapbook News & Review! Along with the following 3 cards, I shared a step-by-step tutorial featuring one of my favorite ways on how to Stencil & Emboss using a Spellbinders™ die template & Impressabilities® template. If you would like to see this tutorial, you must visit the Scrapbook News & Review site.This card features a S4-171 Nested Butterflies die template along with the I2-1002 Butterflies Impressabilities® template.I love the way the edges remain white with this technique. It really accentuates the shape & makes the color "pop".

Yep, another butterfly but such a different look don't you think? The S4-123 Flying Beauties die templates are super easy to stencil & create such a wonderful, detailed look!

How can you go wrong with a Flower Bouquet?

These lil' flowers are from the S4-200 Flower Bouquet set. This set contains EIGHT different blossoms!

As you can see, there are so many different ways to use Spellbinders™ die templates & one thing that really makes Spellbinders™ die templates unique is the ability to Cut, Emboss & Stencil!

Just Peachy...PDCC32 44

Hi Everyone! It's Thursday & you know that means it's time for a new color challenge at The Play Date Cafe. Sarah chose this week's pretty pastel color palette for us all to create with. I tried something new on this card! I have been inspired by all the fancy ribbon treatments that I have seen many fellow designers creating out there in blogosphere, I thought I would give one a try! I layered a piece of lace & ribbon, then stitched it on my card. My stitching is a bit crooked but with a little practice, it may improve. Like I have said before, can't be afraid to try something new :) Using one of my new fave techniques, embossing & stenciling a Spellbinders™ die template, I created the butterfly embellishment & topped it off with a hand crocheted fleurette made by my sis Tina :)
Aren't those soft tender roses that seem to be peeping through harsh, cold snow just beautiful. I have experienced this before while growing up in Buffalo, NY! We would just pray that the flowers & vegetation would survive after Mother Nature decided to drop more snow after Spring had Sprung :(

I chose to showcase this lovely sentiment from the Waltzingmouse Afternoon Tea Sentiments set in an ornate frame made using a Spellbinders™ Labels Four die as my focal point. Not so many words, but speaks volumes! Thanks for looking at my creation :)

A Cameo appearance... 50

Hi Everyone! Thanks again to the girls at 2Sketches4You for choosing my tag (click HERE) as the winner of "Card Of The Week" in last week's sketch challenge & to the girls at City Crafter Challenge Blog for selecting the same tag as their winner of the Terrific Tag challenge! Yipeeee :) One of my other recent creations is featured on the Melissa Frances's Blog today (click HERE) to see!!! I had some time today to play with my papercrafting goodness, so I made a card & joined in the fun with these 2 awesome challenge sites again!
Here is my take on these dynamic duo challenges:To create the scalloped border, I broke out one my new toys :) Spellbinders™ Big Scalloped Border Petites. This particular border die template not only cuts the border shape but also embosses! You also have the ability use it as a stencil! All 3 features wrapped up in 1 product! I will be sharing a promised tutorial Thursday featuring these techniques in greater detail :)
For sketch inspiration, I was inspired by Kazan's Sketch #52 from 2Sketches4You:& to color my world, I was inspired by the beautiful color palette chosen by Heather for this week's City Crafter Colors Challenge. Heather referenced the movie Pretty In Pink from 1986 - just happens to be the year I graduated from High School! Time sure does fly!From a bird's eye view :)
These colors scream elegance to me, so I decided to feature a gorgeous Melissa Frances cameo embellishment centered in a tissue paper flower made from recycled tissue paper from my Mother's Day gift! The background was embossed using the Spellbinders™ Flourish Impressabilities™.

The photo above was taken at a Cameo Shop located in Sorrento, Italy where the craftsman skillfully carve cameos by hand. I so regret not buying one - I guess this gives us an excuse to return! LOL

Now that I spent the early part of my day off playing with my toys, I better get some chores done before the hubby gets home! Maybe you will come join the fun in some of these challenges? Thanks for looking! Be Sweet

Hi Everyone! Time for another Technique challenge with Just Us Girls. This week, I am the lucky one to pick the technique so, I chose the making of a Pocket Card. I started with a blank Jenni Bolin BINGO card - perfect sturdy base for my Pocket card :)

I stitched the complete perimeter of the pocket.

I stitched several pieces of K&Company cs to the BINGO card, added a bow, button & tag. I love the Melissa Frances Vintage image of the lil' children - so sweet & innocent. I matted on a frame that was cut using a Spellbinders™ Nestabilities S5-019 Labels Eight die template. For a little extra, I added a beautiful resin like flower embellishment (in the lower right corner).

Here with The Play Date Cafe Challenge #28 - Julie Ranae chose this Oh So Pretty in Pink color palette to play with as it is one of her all time favorites since her early childhood days :) This week, I would like to welcome my dear friend & Spellbinders™ Design Team-mate, Ashley Cannon Newell as our Guest Designer :)

This beautiful color palette that Julie chose is so fitting for such a wonderful day approaching: Mother's Day. My Dear Mom & Bestest Friend (before my hubby of course :) rests in Peace in Heaven I am sure :) so I am giving this card to my Dearest Sister Tina - whom is like my Mom in SO MANY ways :)
I love the way the ornate Melissa Frances Vintage keyhole looks on the multi-layered glittered heart that I made using my Spellbinders™ Nestabilities S4-136 Classic Heart & S4-137 Classic Scalloped Heart die templates.

I am hooked on the Spellbinders ™ Borderabilities! They consume barely any space & cut gorgeous, detailed borders. I would love to know if you have played with these or do you prefer hand held punches? Thanks for looking!

Hi Everyone! This week, I chose the colors for the Play Date Cafe Creativity Challenge #27, PDCC27. I found these darling little bird feeders in the gift shop at the Carlsbad Flower Fields & photographed them for inspiration :)Here is my interpretation of these colors:This is my first time creating with beautiful Melissa Frances DP & I am hooked! Can't you hear my wallet screaming???? :) I used one of my favorite background stamps from Rubber Stampede - Music Background to create the strip of music paper.

After stamping & cutting out the birdcage, I dressed it up with 3 of my favorite things - a bow, button & butterfly :)

I stenciled this lil' Spellbinders™ Flying Beauty using SU Bashful Blue ink then popped a pearl right in the center.
